Self-Storage Rental Guidelines

Affordable Storage Guys Policies and Procedures Overview

The following information is for your reference. It contains some important suggestions and pertinent information about the policies of our self-storage facilities.

Your monthly rent, plus any additional insurance premiums, is due on the 1st day of each month.

We will not send you a bill. You may pay in the office (if there is an office available), by phone, online, dropbox (at select locations) or by mail. Please mail your payment to 6044 Scottsville Rd Suite 101.

Online and automated payment options are also available. Visit the facility page you rent at to create a login for your account and make your payment with any major credit card. Auto draft payments may also be setup. Just call us for details at (270) 297-4531.

If we have not received your payment by the 5th day of the month, your gate access will be denied. A late fee will be applied to your account on the 6th day and your unit will be overlocked.

A partial payment will not stop fees or official lien procedures. Any agreement between tenant and management to extend payment dates or defer sale of goods must be in writing and signed by both management and tenant to be binding.

A $30 fee is automatically charged for all returned checks as well as a $20 late fee. All future payments must be made by money order.

Tenant insurance options are available and highly recommended. We do not assume liability for the goods you store. Your lease agreement states that you agree to properly insure your goods.

You have a month-to-month rental agreement. The storage unit must be vacated on or before the last day of the month for which rent has been paid.

Upon move-out, the storage unit must be broom-clean, empty, and in good condition - subject only to typical wear and tear - and ready to re-rent. The disc lock must be removed from the door. It is yours to keep. (If you have a cylinder lock please turn in all 3 keys.)

The office staff must be promptly contacted upon termination of occupancy. Failure to notify management of your move out, will result in your being charged the next month’s rental and applicable late fees.

Gate hours are 24-hours a day/7-days a week. Improper use of the property may result in access restrictions. Management is available by phone 9AM - 5PM, Monday - Friday, and Saturday 9AM - 2PM.

Phone calls made to the office are forwarded to management cell phone after hours and on weekends. Please leave a VoiceMail. You may also text the emergency phone number listed on the office/gate.

We do not prorate rent after the 5th day of the month when you vacate a unit.

Only one lock is allowed per door latch. If more than one lock is found, you may be subject to a $25 administration fee for the removal of that lock.

Do not follow someone through the gate without first putting in your access code. The gate may close on you or you may not be able to exit.

Please keep us updated of any address changes and/or phone number changes. Until we are notified in writing with your signature, the only valid address and telephone number is the one on the lease.

No Smoking in any of the units or hallways. Please dispose of all cigarette butts appropriately.

No Mothballs. We spray our units and buildings regularly for insects and we also provide preventative treatments for rodents. It is not necessary for mothballs to be used on our property. These contain ingredients that are harmful when inhaled.

Please keep drive lanes clear and do not block another tenant’s door.

Delivery drivers are to be met promptly and are not to block the front driveway or gate under any circumstances. We will strictly enforce all policies and conditions in our contract. We do not make exceptions!
